Shakespeare’s Avon Way has been developed to raise funds for The Myton Hospices. Myton has three hospices in Coventry, Rugby and Warwick, and the only Hospice Inpatient beds in Coventry and Warwickshire. They care for people aged 18+ living with a wide range of life-limiting illnesses including Respiratory, Heart & Neurological conditions, Cancer and Organ failure. At The Myton Hospices they believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; they focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. They are not just about end of life care, they support patients and their loved ones right from the moment they are diagnosed.
As The Myton Hospices is an independent charity with minimal government funding, they rely on the support of the community. This comes in a wide variety of ways, but we are especially hoping that our pathway will help to raise funds for this vitally important charity and with this in mind, might we suggest that you ‘sponsor’ yourself for a small sum per mile and ask your friends and family to help out by becoming your sponsors. We in turn, as a not-for-profit organisation, will donate profit from the sale of this guidebook to The Myton Hospices.
